„Nothing Is As It Seems“ is about things appearing to be different from a surface level than they are in reality. A good example of this is the „vacation goggle effect“ when you travel somewhere and overlook the flaws you might only notice when living there for a longer period of time. I tried to represent this theme visually in the artwork by using a picture I took and vastly changing it using color grading and photoshop’s generative fill features to change the landscape into a place that doesn’t exist in reality, but appears to be an actual place at a first glance.
